Save The Children: Ayogu Kingsley’s Valley Painting Wins Vin Martin Ilo Prize at Limcaf 2017

In what has been an amazing year for one of Nigeria’s creative artist, Ayogu Kingsley who in recent time hosted his maiden solo exhibition tagged “Not Seen But Felt” at the Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja.
Furthermore, his artistic dexterity is a phenomenon that cannot be overemphasized as this has made the Enugu-based artist a creative delight to those who have encountered his works both in real life and on social media.

As an artist whose works are inspired by the society and its   trends, it is not much of a surprise to see his work “Valley Painting” win the Endowment Award for Vin Martin Ilo prize at Limcaf 2017.

Life In My City Art Festival (Limcaf) is an art competition hosted across all states in Nigeria. While the first 100 contestants are shortlisted, the final top 25 are sponsored to Enugu for the grand finale. Valley Painting won the Award at the recent edition held this year.
“Valley Painting” by Ayogu advocates against the illicit use of drugs by youths which further stirs a trending social media conversation with the hashtag #SaveTheChildren.
